Although 3-D printed guns are not anything new, most of the guns are made of plastic instead of metal. Solid Concepts has made the first fully functional 3-D printed firearm. Gizmag calls it, "a prime example of past meets future" since they are using the classic Model 1911.

I would think this is a big step in technology and gun manufacturing. I like the idea of this way to make guns but computers have lots of glitches and even though it might not make a difference in  little things but guns can be dangerous and one flaw can injure someone very bad. I think that making guns by machines and by hand now is the best way to make guns since there's less chance of flaws.

I think this is not going to effect me very much but one day when I do buy my own gun it might be 3-D printed. This could effect how much a gun would cost. Now that they can be printed then the price of guns will go down dramatically. People could even get fired because they don't need the workers to make the guns. Then they would get hired again to design the guns and work the computers. Maybe that's not all bad, overall it's a good, efficient way to produce guns.

  1. I like how you wrote this, it was concise and easy to understand. I think that it was a good idea to add the picture, it made it more interesting to read about because I had a visual to look at. Overall you did a really good job!
