"There was an unusual shape in the skies over Italy last week" says Francis Govers at Gizmag. He would be right, the Hammerhead UAV completed its first flight on November 14th. The Hammerhead is an fast, high flying, unmanned aircraft crated by the PiaggiAero Company and Selex ES in Italy.

This event can be both good and bad since this aircraft could be used for more purposes than gathering information, it could be used for violence. This is not the first unmanned aircraft but it is one of the fastest and reliable ones. This aircraft could be used for violence and that violence could effect the world not just me or you. We could be the ones controlling them one day from the ground. I doesn't affect me much but it does affect my family and friends stationed in the military.

This could affect our air force and any future wars. Since we would no longer be inside the aircraft many casualties will be saved. Even though many people will be saved many people would take advantage of nobody being in the aircraft and use it for terrorism. The air force will be getting a higher quality aircraft and a faster one. This event doesn't have effect on everyone in the world but it will impact our safety and reliability on our air force.

Although 3-D printed guns are not anything new, most of the guns are made of plastic instead of metal. Solid Concepts has made the first fully functional 3-D printed firearm. Gizmag calls it, "a prime example of past meets future" since they are using the classic Model 1911.

I would think this is a big step in technology and gun manufacturing. I like the idea of this way to make guns but computers have lots of glitches and even though it might not make a difference in  little things but guns can be dangerous and one flaw can injure someone very bad. I think that making guns by machines and by hand now is the best way to make guns since there's less chance of flaws.

I think this is not going to effect me very much but one day when I do buy my own gun it might be 3-D printed. This could effect how much a gun would cost. Now that they can be printed then the price of guns will go down dramatically. People could even get fired because they don't need the workers to make the guns. Then they would get hired again to design the guns and work the computers. Maybe that's not all bad, overall it's a good, efficient way to produce guns.
