Bi-Weekly Blog 2

My weeks been awesome! I've made a few more friends. Theres nothing bad that happened this week. My mom and her boyfriend just head off to Hawaii today, hope they have fun! I just wish they would've went in the summer and taken me with them but they can have their time. I got used to the school already, it's a really great school. Today we have a guest speaker and we don't have our clubs but that's OK I just wonder what he's going to be talking about. I have no idea who this guy is he's in the NBA but I don't watch much sports. Overall, this week was the best in a while.

Above me is the digital citizenship Prezi. It will tell you all you need to know about how to be safe online and what are good ethics to use online.
Prezi is another web 2.0 I learned to use over the last two weeks. It's way better than just a regular power point, it moves and you can do all kinds of different things. Prezi has lots of cool animations you can use and you can add pictures. It's a lot neater than power point and you can also make your "slide" however big you want! There is some bad things about it like the fact that sometimes it can get a little confusing, when you move something you move everything inside of it and you have to zoom out a bit to change anything around or inside of it.

Here are some other digital literacy words I learned:

Publish: to present a finished piece to a public audience. You have to publish any kind of post to present it to the public world.
Trustworthy: accurate and dependable. Before you use any website, you must make sure it's trustworthy or else you may get the wrong information.
Evaluate: to carefully examine something to determine its value. You must evaluate something to see if its trustworthy.
Criteria: standards on which you base your judgement. The criteria are what you will be evaluating.

This information is going to make me think before I use any website I'm not to sure about. You can't always trust everything on the Internet. Even though some things may seem like an OK place to get information I have to think, anybody can put anything on the Internet, even if they know nothing about that subject. Next time I use a website for a project I'm going to make sure that its dependable.
